About Us
We are a Catholic community, rich in diversity of age, ethnic origin, culture, social and economic status. We are called by the Holy Spirit to generously share our various gifts, and to deepen our bonds with and between our families, Parish, the whole Church, and our community. Our community is grounded in the Eucharist and other sacraments of the Church.
We are renewing and reviving our parish by creating new ministries and enhancing existing ones. We are called by Jesus to the harmonious community, and to witness to the world our Gospel values, so that the Kingdom of God may be brought about in the world.

History of our parish
Our Lady of Grace
Our Lady of Grace Church began its mission to the people of this area of San Antonio in the early 1930s as a Mission Church of St. Mary’s Church downtown. Construction on the sanctuary began after purchasing the property from the Oblate Fathers at St. Anthony’s Seminary.
On July 30, 1952, St. Mary’s Chapel was elevated to Parish status and renamed Our Lady of Grace Parish with Father John Collins as the first Pastor.
